the episode begins with sidle finding an ex cop dead in a living room. sidle questions a few local people, including a craps dealer, a poker dealer, and a school teacher. finally the breakthrough comes when grissom finds some dna from a booger. sidle goes back to the group and finds it was actually a craps dealer the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving isn't for you." and the episode fades to black.
