the episode begins with stokes finding a hooker dead in a bathroom. stokes questions a few local people, including a stripper, a computer programmer, and a showgirl. finally the breakthrough comes when stokes finds some dna from a drop of semen. stokes goes back to the group and finds it was actually a stripper the whole time, whom they had questioned before. grissom says "If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving isn't for you." and the episode fades to black.
